I programmed the frequencies, no luck. As soon as I find out more info Ill pass it along. Yes same site as far as I hear they raised it from the previous 60 foot mark giving it better coverage for us ;-) Same repeater.

An update to the VE3UHM repeater, it is active but only on the local talk group, I’ve tried to key up on my handheld in my apartment but no results, once I get in the vehicle and hook my radio up the antenna on the roof of the vehicle I’ll try to key it up and see what happens. The antenna was at 100 feet until they reconfigured the main antennas, now the heights are, receiving antenna: 400 feet, transmitting antenna 700 feet.

ReplyDeleteIt is fully operational and on line.
Rx is at 400 feet and transmitting at 700 feet.
Internet linking is now active.
All previous talkgroups supported are still current.

ReplyDeleteApparently there where huge interference issues on the antenna they use for DSTAR, DMR. This is why they lowered the antenna 6 month ago because they could not identify the issue. Now that the raised the antenna , reprogrammed the repeater and installed some filters coverage is right into Toronto lake front via a handheld is what I heard John say. DStar requires some additional programming that needs a physical PC Connections which could happen in the next few weeks.
